Bostan Hayat is a leading expert in English Language Teaching and President of KazAELT. She holds an MA in TESOL from KIMEP University and is a CELTA tutor. As Head of Educational Research at Quantum STEM School, she shapes future educators. She has co-authored a book on online teaching and spoken at IATEFL (UK) and TESOL (USA). Her work drives innovation and growth in teaching. She also leads development at the Farabi International School Chain. Partnering with the British Council, she advances teacher education and inclusion
Teachers Well-being
Tamara Jumabayeva is a passionate EFL teacher with over 10 years of experience in primary education. She honed her skills at Uğur Schools in Turkey, specializing in young learners’ language development. Holding a Master of Education and CELTA certification, she is committed to high-quality teaching. As an edublogger at TeachingDays, she shares valuable insights with educators worldwide. She leads the Young Learners Special Interest Group (YL SIG) for KazAELT, promoting best practices in language education. Currently, she is pursuing a Diploma in TESOL at OxfordTEFL. Her work focuses on innovation and excellence in teaching young learners
Emotional Intelligence
Marija Kovač started as an EFL and ESP teacher in Serbia and grew into a dedicated educator. With international experience at universities and NGOs, she remains deeply engaged in education and leadership. As an IREX media literacy trainer and human rights education expert, she focuses on teaching what truly matters. Currently, she is a Curriculum and Methodology instructor at Webster University in Tashkent. Her work drives innovation and critical thinking in education

Aliya Zhakupova is a dedicated educator and leader with 14 years of teaching experience and 5 years in administration. She holds a BA in Education from Arizona State University and an MA in TESOL from KIMEP University. As Head of Professional Development at Quantum STEM School, she enhances teacher effectiveness through training initiatives. Her expertise bridges classroom practices with strategic school-wide goals. Aliya is passionate about fostering continuous learning for both educators and students.
